Really disappointed in our take out order! I have eaten here for years and loved the food. This time it had absolutely no taste. I ordered beef with vegetables and only had 9 pieces of beef. Everything else was vegetables. We asked for extra sauce, none was included and there was very little in the box. I don't know what changed but our meals were a waste of money 😟

This is a decent little chinese restaraunt, staffed by Chinese immigrants, which is something that makes the food feel authentic. We enjoy it everytime we go. Always clean, wonderful waitstaff delicious food and inexpensive prices. Cannot go wrongvl here will even sell you a cold be if so inclined. One of our favorites.

I last ate take out here in 1989 when I found an earwig in my chicken fried rice.When I returned it to the restaurant I was told very politely by one of the Chinese wait staff that some times this happen. She did refund my money ... I have told this story many times and still laughing about her response. Before that issue I would eat there regularly and LOVED the food.

I had pot stickers their were 6 for $6.50. I also had spicy chicken in garlic sauce. All was very good. Really nice young waiter. Garlic chicken $10.50

Ate there again and my egg roll tasted different like the time before, not hot and cabbage very toughAnd the wrapper was different, I should of spoke up but I didn't until I paid my bill, I see where they are under new owership but things were to be the same, the cashier said i should of told them and he is correct. The soup wasn't that good either this time, wonton. The egg rolls and soup were always my favorites, I wanted to ask the new owners if you have changed the wrappers for your egg rolls and definitely the cabbage is too tough. They give you a generous lunch portion but if they have changed the egg rolls I won't be going back, so disappointing.

Worst chicken ever had order a carry out won't eat there again over cook

I feel like it's a little pricy, but very generous portions. Szechuan Chicken with Peanuts was very good. Chicken pieces were extremely tiny, though.

We had gotten take out from here. The crab ragoons tasted like garlic and had no crab. The chicken is my emperor's chicken was soggy on the outside and hard on the inside. Soon after eating, I ended up with an upset stomach. Will not be back.

Food was not edible... We picked it up and it stunk badly like feet. It was too spicy and soggy. It is the worst chinese food I have ever had. I would recommend people not eat here. Our money was wasted and this was our one time going out to eat at during covid.

My mom and I frequent here, been coming since I was a kid. The food is ALWAYS great, service too! And I've never had better egg rolls anywhere. They're so good that when get them anywhere else, I'm disappointed. One of my favorite places to eat

Tons of food for a good price

This place is amazing! The staff is very polite and it is some of the best Chinese food that I've had, for a very reasonable price! It's better than most of the expensive Chinese restaurants

Got take out order. The portion size was nice but the quality was poor. The lemon chicken was tasteless. When I first tried it, I didn't even know what it was. The lo mein was warm but also lacked in taste. The white rice was good and so was the egg roll. I've had some pretty good chinese food, this is not up there I'm sorry to say. I hope things change because I'd love to support a local business over a chain like Panda Express.

This place has been around for a long time and we're lucky to have them in our area! Family owned and a great place to go when you want exceptional service and excellent food. Four of us dined with a double appetizer, drinks and entrees with portions generous enough to feed twice as many people for $85.00!!! This restaurant deserves TEN **********'s!

I ordered the general tsos chicken and it has no flavor. The fried rice also has no flavor and is saturated in oil. So disappointing.

Restaurant is going downhill since new owners took over both in terms of service and quality of good. Last night carry out experience was a complete disaster. I get that it was Valentines Day but they were way understaffed and not at all prepared to handle it. Told us 45 minutes when we ordered. Showed up 55 minutes later and waited another 45 minutes! Nine year old daughter and her brother running the show. Kept answering phone and taking more orders despite lobby full of people waiting for orders and a lot of dissatisfied people dining in. Worst part no apology, no discount, nothing. Been eating at Mandarin House for many, many years. That was the last time.

What a find!!! The portion size that you receive is incredible. I consider myself someone who can eat quite a lot of food, but even getting through half of my dish (General Tso's) and trying my fiance's dish (Sesame Chicken) was a lot. One thing that is not mentioned in the menu is that they bring out a huge bowl of sticky rice with your entrees. Between our two dishes and the rice, we could have easily fed four people. After tip, I spent just under $40 for the meal, so if you were to bring yourself and three other people with you, keep that price point and portion size in mind. Also the staff speak very little English, but are very polite. Great experience and would recommend both dishes we had above. They both had a good amount of heat to them and were very tender.

My favorite Chinese food in the area. The food is good and very cheap for lunch special. Location is great being right off Edison road and close to Notre Dame! The restaurant is a little older and could use some remodeling and bathrooms are poorly heated and could also use some attention, overall good experience and the price is right!

Fried rice was a $3.00 extra and when I got home with the order there was no white rice included as ordered. The place was way over priced for the food provided. Better sevice at the chain stores

GREAT food, friendly staff, excellent service!

It's one of the more authentic Chinese restaurants around. Its Chinese menu is very tasty. The owner is a very kind and happy guy and just makes you like the place more!

Fresh and tasty cuisine. My favorite are the egg rolls. Great place for lunch or dinner.

We like this place the most around the campus. I really like the Singapore Noodle and they make it to my liking.

Our favourite Chinese restaurant in South Bend.

Service was subpar. The waitress was actually hiding from the table across from us. They acted like everyone was bothering them. It was hard to get drink refills, and food came out 10 minutes apart for each one of our party. We wont be back. Its sad, as had good memories of this place.

Everytime I go here they argue with me and tell me I'm wrong. This was the last time I'll be there. I told them this pork was raw. They wouldn't listen. Not going back.
